Quite some time has passed since the blog on our church's page has seen regular usage. I hope today marks the beginning of a fresh start.
Why?
Good question. You can read a lot of information in a lot of various places. However, as we often say, we are a local church with local Christians in a local context.
So, simply, we hope this blog will serve local Christians in a local context serving a local church!
The good news? You won't have to hear only my voice as pastor. I'll be joined by other voices from our church exploring various aspects of church ministry. Again, we hope to present helpful material applicable in daily life.
For today, let me start with an article about coming to church desperate.
Yes, we may come and worship from a place of abundance. But often we come in need. I hope wrestling with these thoughts will help frame your approach to congregational worship.
I can't encourage you enough to make the most of our weekend gathering times. If they seem blah to you, consider how to prepare to make them more effective. Come desperate and hungry!
In Christ,
Pastor Kevin
